Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ConcreteCalculus (https://concretecalculus.com) stores, collects and shares, and the choices you have. ConcreteCalculus is run by an independent developer based in India. If you have a question about this policy, write to concretecalculuscontact@gmail.com.

The calculator runs in your browser

Every calculation happens on your device. We don't receive the dimensions, prices, project names or other values you type into a calculator, and there are no accounts, so we don't collect names, addresses or passwords.

What's stored on your device

To remember your choices, the site keeps a few items in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us:

• your unit system (US or metric), extra allowance, preferred bag size and vehicle payload;
• your theme choice (system, light or dark);
• projects you choose to save, listed under My projects.

The site also stores a copy of its own pages on your device so the calculators work offline after your first visit. You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Deleting a saved project from My projects removes it immediately.

Share links

When you use "Share link", your project's dimensions and settings are written into the link's address so the calculator can rebuild it. Anyone you send the link to can see those numbers. The link contains no personal information unless you typed some into a part name.

Analytics

We don't currently run any analytics. If we add them, we'll use a privacy-friendly service that doesn't use cookies or collect personal data, and we'll update this page first.

Advertising and cookies

The site doesn't show ads yet. When it does, ads will be served by Google AdSense, as described below, and this page will say so.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
• Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set, through a Google-certified consent tool, and can change that choice at any time. Ads never appear inside the calculator and never change a result.

Hosting and security

Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and protect it from abuse, and it is not used to identify you.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to fix what you report. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone else.

Children

The site is a general-audience tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because the site has no accounts and stores your calculator data only on your device, you are in control of it: you can view, change or delete it in your browser at any time. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we'll delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act or the EU and UK GDPR; contact us and we'll help.

Our pages link to manufacturers' data sheets and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, for example by adding analytics or advertising, we'll update this page before the change takes effect. The date below shows the latest version.
